Dubai Investments continues supporting Expo 2020 development

Dubai Investments is proud to have contributed to the renowned Dubai Expo 2020 event through its ecosystem of subsidiaries. Emirates Insolaire is powering the Monaco pavilion through its solar panels; Emicool is providing water-cooling solutions to various sites; and other subsidiaries have supplied steel, glass and aluminum.

With the recent completion of its AI-enabled cooling plant, Emicool will provide water-cooling solutions to the event’s Conference & Exhibition Centre, EXPO village, and RTA station. The plant was uniquely designed to ensure a more sustainable approach to water-cooling, earning it the 2020 National Award by Middle East Economic Digest (MEED).

Emirates Insolaire, a leading developer of new solar technologies, successfully installed its Photo-Voltaic (PV) solar panels at the Expo’s Monaco pavilion. Using Kromatix™ patented technology, the panels expect to save 85% in energy consumption, meeting the entire energy demand of the pavilion and reflecting the company’s mission to optimize energy use.

Emirates Building Systems (EBS), a subsidiary and a leading manufacturer of steel structures, is nearing completion of the Kuwait, Russia, Indonesia, and Uzbekistan pavilions. EBS has supplied more than 2400 MT of steel thus far, providing a safe, sustainable, and cost-effective foundation for the global event.

Through its other subsidiaries, Dubai Investments is also involved in the supply of glass to the event’s USA pavilion, and aluminum to the KSA Opportunity and DP World Expo pavilions. With this level of involvement, Dubai Investments has become a key contributor to the Expo’s success.
