Emirates Building Systems strengthens foothold in Oman; provides 6000 MT steel for Duqm Project

Continued success with the execution of the Port of Duqm contracts in addition to other prestigious projects in Oman

Emirates Building Systems (EBS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dubai Investments, and one of the leading manufacturers of steel structures in the Middle East, has strengthened presence in Oman, by executing and winning new contracts in the Duqm area, including contracts for the prestigious Duqm Refinery project in addition to other leading projects.

As part of the ongoing contract for the Duqm Refinery project, EBS is supplying and erecting 3000 MT for warehouse buildings, maintenance buildings, sludge building, main administration building, sheds, etc. and which are part of EPC 2 (Engineering, Procurement and Construction – Phase 2) of the Duqm Refinery project.

Additionally, EBS was awarded contract for 1500 Tons of steel for the Duqm Integrated Power & Water Plant. The scope of the project involves supplying and erecting steel structure for the Reverse Osmosis (R.O) building, Pre-treatment building, Chemical building and Wastewater building. The work on these projects is ongoing and is expected to be completed before the end of this year.

As part of the completed contracts for the Duqm projects, 1500 MT of steel was provided for the construction of the buildings at the Commercial Terminal and the Operational Zone areas within the Port of Duqm Project and this project was completed in the first quarter of 2020.

Other prestigious projects executed by EBS in Oman include Sur IPP the largest independent power project undertaken in the Sultanate, Mazoon Dairy project, BP Khazzan project, SRIP project, steel structures within the Oman Convention Centre and the Oman Museum project.
